My curriculum resources are limited to Thinkfinity
Thanks Char for a great presentation on Thinkfinity. With all of the resources and tools there are some great lesson materials and resources available from some of the most reputable content providers in the education. How can this online portal for lessons be an asset to your curriculum?

It was nice to have a real one on one experience with Char. She geared her talk towards social studies for me and helped show me some great starting points for my classroom curriculum. I love the idea of the Smithsonian and its artifacts being available at the click of a button. It also seems that there are some wonderful lessons out there that can be tweaked so they are able to work in my classroom. Thanks again for all the terrific resources that were made available during this session.
I liked the Smithsonian artifact thing also because it may have some literary artifacts. Plus I could pick an artifact from an era and have kids research it or just use it as a writing prompt.
I like being able to search for lessons by Ohio Standards using OhioRc.org. I already use Read-Write-Think as a resource and that’s one of the sites linked with thinkfinity, so I’m sure there’s more good stuff out there:)I may try “comic creator” soon, too.
I listened to/watched the tape today of the March 4th videoconference on Thinkfinity. I did not know of this web portal but think I will use it – it’s sounds like a great place to start or update lesson plans. I liked the information Char was able to find for Todd in preparing to take his class to Washington. It sounds like a good standards based site.
I looked at best practice for ORC. Amazing. Although I have students with profound cognitive disabilities I could see some links that I can access to provide instruction. Thinkfinity took me to a sight were animals navigated through some avenues that I think my students may access. Lots of food for thought.
It is nice to have a site to access that houses lesson plans are dedicated to the Ohio State Standards. Many times when I access sites, the information is lacking. This site is amazing and full of content that I can actually use. I look forward to exploring it more and sharing it my colleagues.
I like that Thinkfinity is linked to the Ohio Content Standards. I am going to incorporate some lessons next year into my plans. The lessons even come with a rubric for assessment! This is awesome!
I think the most beneficial aspect of Thinkfinity is that the lessons and content are linked to the standards. I recently took a Museums and Schools workshop through KSU. I was able to continue to explore Thinkfinity through the Smithsonian website. Wonderful resource!!
